O.K.,
Here's my story.

Day 1;
I took a look at this company and all looked well...Only real problem was the PayPal payment, but, a lot of people have started that and I figured...what the hell...

I signed up, $70 for their reseller paln, great deal...

Day 2;
Still no activation...wrote an email, no response.

Day 3;
STIL NO activation...wrote an email, NO RESPONSE.

Day 3;
Getting a little pissed, no activation...wrote an email, then another, then another...no response.

Day 4;
Logged on via FTP! yipee!!!!
could access control panel and nothing else...
none of my CGI's worked...couldn't access my index...NOTHING!
Wrote an email...no response!

Day 5;
Wrote email to cancel and receive refund as stated in contract...
response, there is no reson for cancelation, we have done nothing wrong... we will not refund money...
Pissed off even more, wrote email with intent of legal action...
no response...

Day 6;
Wrote several more emails...finally a response stating that I would receive my refund in 7 days...no legal action was necassary on my part.

39 days later;
Still NO REFUND!
emailed every available contact with receipt requested, receipt was received today, no reponse...
emailed Donhost, which is where they have their servers... they don't consider Fraud as a violation of terms of service! nothing will be done on their part...

From where I stand I see this as fraudulent practice and that is a Federal offence, is it not?
I AM PISSED! :D
I am just being paranoid?

What would you all do?

Thanks for letting me vent.
Gary

paypal has a buyer protection policy - i dunno if it applies 39 days afterward you purchased something

but if you can get that going, then paypal will give your money back within 2 weeks provided that the seller can't provide a tracking number of some sort for the goodies that you shipped... the buyer must have a verified address

thats what happened to me couple months back when a chargeback was applied to one of my services, and paypal asked for a tracking number which i couldn't provide since i sold the buyer 'soft' goods over the web - well, after 2 weeks, paypal just took the money back since i couldn't prove it to them that i sent the buyer anything - it took about a whole month to get my money back cause the buyer took that long in sending his payment to me in compensation for the money i'd lost from the chargeback

I use PayPal religiously, and I don't think they have a high tolerance for folks who abuse their services.

Send them the correspondence stating you would receive your refund, and all the other correspondence too. PayPal won't allow those guys to use their service.

Good luck.
