ProFTPD Security Update 2.0.1

HTTP RaQ4-All-Security-2.0.1-16717.pkg

I installed this package recently in a raq4. Immediately after all FTP access failed to work. The company that leases me the machine said "Im on my own" as far as a resolution. I do love how you RAQ renters give us machines and we're expected NOT to update them at all or we're responsible for the faults caused by the updates.

In did the /var/lib/cobalt/unistallers uninstall routine and removed the patch. This made it worse it appears.

Ive installed this sam epatch on 3 other servers and they have no problems.

Anyone got any ideas?

Why not you enter SSH and then uninstall the patch and then reinstall it again?
Maybe somewhere in the transfer there was a glitch.

the unistall failed. It just says

(offline mode: enter name=value pairs on standard input)

then its no longer listed in the installed patches through admin but it is still somewhat there

I found the solution. I uninstalled the latest patch and the previous patch as well then reinstalled the 15823.pkg patch which was the patch I unstalled second. Worked right away.

I seriously need a job working for a hosting company cause they know NOTHING and I want no responsibilty :) No offense to the guys that know their stuff but Im REALLY dumb and Im solving things on my own.
