RBooth 09-02-2004, 08:52 AM I want to get a merchant account that includes a gateway that will work good with ModernBill, any suggestions would be great! akashik 09-02-2004, 09:22 AM http://www.cdgcommerce.com/whtpromo.php They treated us well - especially given it wasn't a simple setup. Extremely helpful people on the phones and e-mail and got us set up very quickly at a great rate. Corey Bryant 09-02-2004, 10:15 AM You have a few choices avaialable to you since you are in the United States. Do you think you will be processing over $1,000 a month? if not & it is closer to $500, you might consider 2CO. A merchant account running at $500 a month in volume can be upwards to about 10% or more in costs while 2Co is only 5.95% cdgcommerce 09-02-2004, 11:03 AM Thanks for the kind words, Greg. Happy we could be of service to you. :) Michael McKenzie 09-02-2004, 12:00 PM http://www.merchantaccounts4less.com is who I would highly recommend. They have provided us with excellent service and great rates. We use the Linkpoint gateway which they sell as a bundled package and I think is the best gateway on the market. Corey Bryant 09-02-2004, 02:46 PM Thanks Michael for the mention. Always a pleasure. Taliban 09-03-2004, 12:58 PM But please tell me about the merchant account for non us business. I mean international Business merchant account. cdgcommerce tell me that are u setting up merchant account of CardService or any other cdgcommerce 09-03-2004, 01:03 PM We (CDGcommerce) can not directly underwrite any international merchants, in answer to your question. The only int'l merchants that we can approve are those with a U.S. signer with a valid SSN# and matching credit report, bonafide U.S. business presence (address/phone#), etc. Corey Bryant 09-03-2004, 01:07 PM To answer your question, Taliban, Cardservice will work with international merchants with low risk accounts. You are limited to $10,000 a month when you first sign up & they will also require a 5 day ACH hold. And the discount rate is usually 3.5% Taliban 09-03-2004, 01:26 PM cdgcommerce and coreybryant witch the help of which company you are opening the merchant account. i mean which banks etc RBooth 09-03-2004, 02:26 PM E-Onlinedata seames cheap here is what they told me Discount Rates and Transaction Fees (ISP/Hosting/Registrar) No Application Fee No Leasing 2.15% Qualified Discount Rate for Visa and MasterCard 3.99% NON Qualified Discount Rate for International and Corporate Cards $0.25 Transaction Fee (includes Address Verification) No Cancellation Penalties No Annual Fee No Batch Header Fees $10.00 Monthly Statement Fee $25.00 Monthly Minimum $25.00 Chargeback Fee Discover and AMEX added upon your request Authorize.Net Payment Gateway with Virtual Terminal and APIs FREE Authorize.Net Set up (For a limited time – normally $149) $10 Authorize.Net monthly gateway access fee First 250 Transactions free each month, then $0.05 cent Authorize.Net per transaction has any one tried them? and what did you think of them? Corey Bryant 09-03-2004, 02:32 PM There are a couple of threads in here. They seem to be OK - but if there are problems with your account, they seem to drop you or give you a few days notice. sprintserve 09-03-2004, 03:04 PM We considered both merchantaccount4less and cdg and after some deliberation, went with merchantaccount4less (Corey you need a shorter domain.. I get tired typing this..) We have got excellent support. The transition over from Paysystems to a merchant account is almost like taking a fish out of a pond and throwing it into the sea. But the help rendered and all was excellent. Corey answered all my questions (about 30-40 emails in 2 weeks) promptly, professionally, and without complaining. The prices are rather competitive. Linkpoint on the other hand does have some issues that I find inconvenient, but it does suffice for the basic need: i.e. to process credit cards and to get paid. once we have our integratiokn completed this weekend, it should be a breeze (now we have to use the virtual terminal and manually charge) Corey Bryant 09-03-2004, 03:13 PM Ah shucks - thanks sprintserve. :) I know - Hm most should know me by Corey. But we are working on it. And I thank you - I have learned a lot about some of the other processors as well. fraudgate 09-03-2004, 04:17 PM I'd recommend CDGcommerce or MerchantAccounts4Less. They're both very easy and great to work with. :) ICALIV 09-10-2004, 08:30 PM akashik, just wanted to let you know that your order pages don't work... |
