I offer PayPal as an additional payment method and so far we've seen good results. It's mainly used by people who already have a PayPal account. Sometimes it's easier for them to just enter they PayPal account information instead of their credit card or banking information and some customers consider it more secure. Personally, I like it because transactions are all kept neatly listed and the funds are avaliable for deposit usually as soon as the payment is received. The fees are not really bad if you consider that you pay a fee when using a merchant account too.

I wouldn't recommend you use PayPal as your only option, but it's an excellent addition to your existing payment options.

We user paypal as an option for payment besides our regular merchant account. It's been great so far.
