That makes no sense... ASP simply is used to identify the scripts on the server, the web server sends HTML to the browser.

Maybe you should read a little about search engine promotion.
You put a page like:
"detail.asp?ProductCat=C&StockID=1000032"
against a page named
"WebHosting-132.html" and you see which does better on the search engines!

One thing I dont get:
Won't converting ASP to HTML lose the automation that the ASP was created for in the first place :)

He is right that most search engines don't list asp?google=1 strings. But the whole point of making a dynamic site is to mak updating easier and more dynamic. Can HTML do what ASP can NO!. I don't know anything about iis but i know apache you can make this url: http://www.fakeurl.com/profile.php?who=livetronix&page=1 to this: http://www.fakeurl.com/profile/who/livetronix/page/1
lots of dashes but search engines love it!
