I'm about to go crazy trying to decide the proper firewall to use.

The Cisco Pix 115 seems to be a "possible" choice, but even then I'm unsure. I thought about going with Astaro, but there liscence fees are rediculas in addition to you have to supply the hardware. I can't go with less than the 515 (something like a 506) because it doesn't support more than 2 cards and therfore cant use a DMZ and thats no good.... I'm also running into alot of issues where alot of them dont support Static NAT, only dynamic NAT.

Soooooo... does anyone have any recomendations or experinces they can share? Anything that fits what we should be using and that I should stay away from ? I'm looking for INTELLIGENT responses please. Trying to spend $1250 or less on this if possible.

You can't go wrong with a cisco pix 515 series. It does everything your looking for and with a nice Java management console and SNMP support. Does PAT too. You might be able to get a refurb in your price range from eBay.

I guess it depends on what you need it for. The 515e supports 2k vpn tunnels and like 100k concurrent connections. It may be overkill?
