Would anyone be interested in running a ColdFusion version of a Control panel or Billing/Support/Reseller script?
I'm in the process of getting a programmer to finally build something for me, but want to be able to sell it too and want to know what hosts would run. Programmer says that JSP and Coldfusion would work best, but would it sell?

Sounds like an elitist programmer ready to run wild. Would I or others run it...we don't know without seeing it. However, why spend the time and money and limit your marketability by using Cold Fusion.

Whatever became of this Cold Fusion control panel idea? Did it ever get off the ground? I'd love too see it if it has...

Can anyone enlighten me - why coldfusion instead of php/perl ? is it more stable/secure ?

Perl/php is a "clunky" language. The Coldfusion simplifies almost every aspect of coding an application. Being tag based, like HTML im sure you could see why some ppl would prefer to code in a more simple coding structure. I would not go as far as to say CF is a more secure/stable language because its mostly dependent on the resident OS.
End result being its just the preferance of the coder who creates the application, as well as the other applications you want to interface your control panel with.
