NateW was wondering what the best places were for hosts to register domains (for the purpose of registering domains for his clients).

He currently pays (I'll let him explain further)...

Sure - just sign up with Tucows yourself. It isn't difficult, and you only pay $10 per domain per year.

QWK.Net has registered several hundred domains through them, and it always goes through without a hitch.

I've thought of that, but then I've also heard of other places where you could register for cheaper than $10 per domain per year.

Could be, but I doubt it's much cheaper. If I remember correctly, the registrars pay $7 or $8 per domain year.

I go for Gandi ( http://www.gandi.net ) partly because of the 12 euro price (and favourable exchange rate) and partly because administration is a snack.

Adminstration is not a snack. One of my domains was ending the 22nd of oct. They send me an email the 22nd, saying they will stop it the 23rd, and they did ! I was on holyday, coming back the 27th. Do you imagine the feelings of my client ? no mail, no http ...
A snack ?

hmm yes.. but didn't you mention in another thread that they also sent a reminder email 2 weeks before the expiration date
that you "forgot" to reply to/do anything about?

if so.. I fail to see how they're in the wrong.
if not: sorry, i must have grown confused somewhere along the way :)
