Could try Bandmin. Or getting a free or paid control panel. cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin are a few of the popular ones.

MRTG is a simple and effective method for monitoring bandwidth usage, surprised your provider isn't providing that.

I prefer ipfm (diffrent than ipfw ;) ) for BSD.

on second thought. all those who said MRTG really should have checked what I asked for. I specifically asked for a bandwidth monitor not a traffic analyser. I mean i spent a freaking day to get this prog to work on my bsd box. please next time ready carefully and just dont read and answer for the sake of answering. answer with a valid answer. damn! im pissed all this time i spent throughout the day and nothing of what I wanted.

well describe what your looking for better next time. Are you looking for an exact number instead of the graphs?

Obviously pinPoint you did not read the documentation in regards to what MRTG does. Also, do not blame people who are just trying to help you. If you where more specific in regards to bandwidth monitioring we might of been able to assist you more.

im looking for something simple too, i just want something to tell me how much gb is used per day / per week and per month and it doesnt have to be a graph. :bawling:

You should tell the host to give you a link to an official mrtg graph for your server, one taking the traffic at the router level
