Barnes and Noble, Books-A-Million, buy O'Reilly's PHP, great book. And don't forget www.php.net.

the web is a great place to start........but I think it is always much easier when you have something in hard copy...........much easier and quicker to find what you need..........

A great GREAT book to get is Wrax "Professional PHP Programming " it's the big red book at Barnes and Noble. Another good book to get if you are planning on using MySQL with PHP(*of course I am, that's a silly thing to ask*) is Sams "PHP and MySQL Web Development".

PHP is a very very easy language to learn, if you have any prior programming experience you will pick up PHP in no time flat.

http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Tips_and_Tutorials/ for if you don't want to buy a book. If you're willing to buy a book, I too can vouch for Wrox's "Professional PHP Programming" being a very good book.
