You can search many threads here for lots of Rackshack comments. Overall, I believe they provide an excellent product for the price. However, if you need your hand held, they are not the choice. They expect their customer to have basic server knowledge and experience.
Also, a word of advice.
The tone of your post is not the way to ask these questions. The sentence I have a problem with is "i hear stories of peoples RAQs being deleted just like that etc.." Anonymous stories heard in the streets are not what this forum is about. It's about getting opinions and information from those who have used the service.
Have a nice day.

ah wasnt meant like that...
i read serveral of that kind of posts on their forums where alot of people are complaining... but it's hard to figure out what kind of customers they are.. (if they're running adult and warez, then it's normal they get deleted) etc..
i really like to take an account, i just need to be a little more sure thanks to the setup fee.
yes i'm a beginner, but you once were in this situation too :)
thanks anyway

I have a server at RackShack and am very active in the forum there, I don't know of "several" stories of people getting their servers deleted.
I know of one, someone was running *apparantly* warez sites and was also running pirated copies of Vbulletin for their message boards (a fav of the warez crowd) after that person ignored warnings both by the software company and RackShack, their account was deleted.
There was another person there who is a known spammer, he has been asked to leave.
I believe what you are seeing is a good host doing their job getting rid of that which does not belong on a ligit DataCenter's floor space.
Rack Shack often gets bad rap and the reason for this is actually one of the main reasons I got my box there, the open message system for support.
The up side of this is almost immediate help from a very active community of server managers who help each other out, this gets the problems or questions solved quickly for the server operators. The down side of this, at least for RS, if someone gets ticked off at RS, for whatever reason, they not only bash them here.. they do it there..
I think the price/performance level there is tremendous. They are not managed servers, you rent an operational machine hooked to an active large pipe to the net..
Don't expect managed service at non managed prices and you'll be happy.

There has been a recent string of problems there, many creeping up because they just moved their entire datacenter. But any problems I have experienced have been adressed and everything seems back to like it was, which is trouble free. I would reccomend them.

I would pretty much the same as Shortness. Great company.
