What do you think?

I think it is terrible how they handled it because that means any of their resellers can have their machine shut off, Without notice, because of a customers content. That could be very bad for RS business.

Also bothered me how the admin decided to close it like that, just because some heat on them I'm guessing. Why fix a problem, when you can hide it?

(I don't use their services, and have no experience dealing with them)

Let me know if posting this is wrong since I'm in the hosting business. I'm just trying to see what people think on the matter. Some over there thought it was good of RS to handle the situation the way they did.

That statement Robert made about pulling without warning scared the living daylights out of me.
As if I know which customers have a license for the BB and which ones don't :(

Later on they softened it a bit, saying the the owner of the servers had received a few warnings. And...as later revealed the site with the illegal software was the main site of the owner of the Daddy.

Still I sleep a little less since that statement and I've lost quite a few hairs :(

I would also be very concerned if they shut down a server with no warning and believe Robert Marsh probably worded things a little stronger than his intent today. I just more by the actions, and, in this case, I feel shutting down the server was completely justified. I guess its like being a judge or jury, it comes down to who is most believable, a preponderance of the evidence. And after it all came out, it appears the customer was contacted by both Rackshack and VBulletin, it also appears the customer was using an unregistered board himself, and, last, it appears the customer was hosting sites in general which were of an undesirable nature and would violate almost all TOS's including warez. It the customer had more credibility, then I would have been concerned about Rackshack's action. However, I believe they did what they had to in this situation.
