I was looking at Level3 (LVLT) finance stuff today becuase I was bored. They havent made money since they started with the internet stuff. 2.35Billion Lost of the past 12 months. Places actually dump money into companies when they burn it that fast for 3 years straight? Crazy if you ask me.

OPM - other peoples money. Welcome to wall street.
Why do they pour loads of money in a few companies which haven't made a dime and why do most small companies can't even get a small start-up loan? It's called greed. It's just a game - all or nothing. Ever been to Las Vegas? You should go, it's the same principle.

People put that much of their money into companies that loose so much $$ each year because they expect a high return in the end.
Ofcourse...that was until the whole .com economy came crashing down between november 2000 and march 2001.
We all hope that we'll be buying stock in the company that in 10 years will be where Microsoft is today.
Don't you wish you had bought Microsoft stock back in '82?
Well, we're trying to find the next Microsoft. All it got me was a loss of 84% though :bawling:
