![]() | View Full Version : The Best ASP Host akaize 01-09-2002, 05:55 PM Who is the BEST ASP Host you know? anantatman 01-12-2002, 03:23 PM ASP as in application service provider or ASP as in NT/2k/IIS host? Interland is one of the better ones but their support really something that needs some work.. They recently bought out hostpro which had decent support. MaximumASP.com is one that i've heard is one of the more expensive ones. ASPCode.net 01-12-2002, 04:55 PM If NT/2k/IIS host is what you are looking for: Although they are a competitor to me in some way ( but we are not in the same price class ) I could safely say Innerhost.com are good. They are big and have good ASP knowledge. Other from that I could say MaximumASP gives you a virtual dedicated server ( yes, they have manage to get such a thing going on Windows ) but pricing starts at over $150/month mantra 01-12-2002, 11:00 PM Is Brinkster.com any good? Aren't they supposed to be a top notch ASP host? AlexNguyen 01-13-2002, 05:53 AM I had an shared account with Brinkster (originally ewebcity) for almost 1.5 years. During that time, uptime was quite good, since I never noticed my site was down, although undoubtedly some downtime was there. They have lots of components registered for your use. The tech support can be slow at times; it usually took a full day before I got an answer back through email. I would recommend them for the most part, especially since they support the ASP and ASP.NET developer community with their free hosting program. pgkooijman 01-13-2002, 06:15 AM I would say Brinkster is excellent to start with and I enjoyed their service and speed for quite some time. Then as my site grew I realised that they were charging way too much for bandwith and I had to leave at once or pay like $ 80 /month. Pixel26 01-13-2002, 06:44 AM I would recommend GearHost (http://www.gearhost.com/) -- they have been getting excellent reviews here at WebHostingTalk by myself and others. They are an excellent host with superb uptime, excellent support response times and great affordable features. No, I don't work for them, I am merely a very satisfied cutomer! ASPCode.net 01-13-2002, 08:00 AM I had a site with Brinkster some years ago and while they are certainly good, I would not call them a top notch ASP host. They are no doubt a budget host - although a good one. Innerhost as I said before and Datareturn.com are IMHO in their own league. airtime166 01-14-2002, 12:33 PM Originally posted by anantatman Interland is one of the better ones but their support really something that needs some work..
