Hi guys,

I beleive this is the correct forum to ask this question. If you want to review & rate about datacenters. What are the things you will consider.

Here are some of my thoughts.

1. Product : What kind of Hardware, software, etc..
2. Network Structure: Mutilhomed BW or?... any comments.
3. Uptime : Network Uptime, Packet loss,etc
4. Tech Support: Response time...
5. Backup: Such as network and power backup.
6. Price:

Is any thing you guys want to comments or add?.

I'd rate uptime, tech support, and critical response time as the top 3.

Definitely consider long-term prospects of using a datacenter. So many of them have dropped customers, gone bankrupt, closed locations, or suddenly changed directions and wanted everyone to have certain minimums to stay there. Make sure you get a good feeling for where the company wants to go.

If you are going direct to a data center choose one with a good track record. Shop around and don't be afraid to ask "awkward" questions.

Thank you for sharing info. I belive network reliability & customer support is very important. That would make big different.
