Lundorff 01-09-2002, 11:05 AM Thx :)
Rehan 01-09-2002, 11:23 AM Keep in mind that Rackshack's offerings have changed significantly since Saburovo.com started renting them out for $150/month. For most of the new servers, the monthly price is higher...
Lundorff 01-09-2002, 11:58 AM Hmm then they should correct their prices - given they are wrong ;)
how do they offer the servers without setup fees?? rackshack has setup fees...
Pilgrim 01-09-2002, 08:49 PM Because they rent them out at a higher price.
$ 150.- - $ 99.- = $ 51.- "profit" each month.
So if the setup fee is $ 250.- they'll start earning money in after 5 months.
It's not the fast way to getting rich, but it's a way. Besides they are probably resellers for rackshack so they also get $ 50.- back for each server they rent.
venomx 01-10-2002, 05:05 PM I emailed saburovo.com and no reply.
Chicken 01-11-2002, 12:41 AM Could be wrong on this one, but someone was asking about the 99servers site and a member mentioned that he was on holiday and would be returning soon. I think he runs both sites. Search for 99servers for the discussion.
venomx 01-11-2002, 01:11 AM But what if you had a server and it went down? I guess you goto RackShack instead of him for support?
Rehan 01-11-2002, 01:13 AM No, tech support would be through saburovo.com instead of RackShack... I think it was in Denis' thread in the Offers forum that he mentioned that.
venomx 01-11-2002, 01:21 AM Man thats bad. If he has no support when he is away....
GAMPort 01-11-2002, 04:42 AM I resell the servers as well and it really will take a long time for him to get any profit when he is not even taking a little setup fee. But for people without that much money or just don't want to spend a few hundred $ it's a very good offer (if any support is available of course).

The support is the biggest problem for me at the moment. RS does not allow its reseller's customers directly submit tickets to the support system, so I have to do it myself when needed. Unfortunately, this may result in delay when RS involvment is needed (manually reboot the server, allocate additional IP addresses etc.) I plan to add a tech by the end of Jan, but it will be long time before I can provide 24 hours support like RS does.

krazzyray 01-15-2002, 02:04 PM I have been using one of his "re-sold" servers for over a month and he has always been very responsive to my needs. In addition he his quite a bit more knowledgeable than your average support person. I have hosted with a number of companies over the years that offer 24/7 tech support and they don't respond any quicker than Denis does. I don't know when you sleep!
