I recently purchased a domain name with a company that wants to design the site for me, and doesn't allow for any ftp's to be used to let me do it myself. This is my first time actually purchasing a domain name, and I have no idea how to transfer it to a host that will allow me to design it myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Could you tell us whom you registered this domain with? And on that note I think it's across the board that you have to be 60 days into the term before you can move a domain name to another registrar.

Are you the owner of the domain? or the company that registered it for you?
