How do you do a CHMOD on Ws_Ftp Pro? I've been trying to figure it out. I know someone here told me once, but I can't remember the name of the topic. Please help.
Thanks In Advance.

Thanks In Advance. vito 08-26-2004, 08:42 PM Highlight the file, then go to File>Operations>FTP Commands>CHMOD Vito BigBison 08-26-2004, 08:58 PM Or, right-click on the file and click 'properties'. (vito - I just figured that out yesterday, after doing it your way for some time) :) vito 08-26-2004, 09:02 PM You're right. I was just too lazy to explain both ways, so I just showed the one way. :) Vito BigBison 08-26-2004, 09:06 PM I'm too lazy to use the first way anymore... Or anything three menus deep, for that matter... CyberWizard 08-27-2004, 03:55 AM Sorry but I tried WS_FTP and it is not even close to the power and ease of use of aceFTP. Try it if you want: http://software.visicommedia.com/en/products/aceftpfreeware/ BigBison 08-27-2004, 04:02 AM We're discussing WS_FTP *Pro*, which is packed with features aceFTP doesn't have -- batch mode, append mode, file synchronization are a few I didn't see listed for aceFTP. Also, WS_FTP pro has been around forever and has tech support available. So I don't understand how it's 'not even close' to aceFTP? Individual preferences vary. CyberWizard 08-27-2004, 12:12 PM Woops forgive this newbie's previous post. :) I think I'll start a thread kindly asking for comments on product vs product. Things like batch mode, append mode, are new 2 me. Great forum by the way much to learn here. Cheers! EdtheStang 08-28-2004, 01:16 PM Well, I had my friend CHMOD the wrong files. So then I went back and tried to find the feature, but apparently it's not on my Version. That or I can't find it. Since it was a simple transformation(666), I just changed the properties to read and write all the way across. Thanks though. |
