View Full Version : Enom Reseller Or WildWestDomains Reseller
senaia 08-26-2004, 01:25 PM Im new in the domain name reseller thing and im going to get a reseller account, but can't decied with whom.
I understand that most of you are domain resellers and would appreciate any help and advice regarding this issue.
What are the good and bad side's of every one?
Which one you think I should choose and why?
Is there other domain reseller providers I should consider?
Until now I used to register domains with Godaddy and I had serios problems with them such as:
1) Im in Romania and a year went and I couldn't visit their website and login my account and I always had to ask friends from other countries to do the jop for me.
2) I registered 5 domain names 24 hours ago and now my godaddy account is frozen because they think there was a credit card fraud attempt although the cc was in my name and the account also and there asking for all kind of Doc. and proof. Not to mention that some of the domain names have there value and one of them is well established and was sold for $5500 and now godaddy's own it and buyer is really upset because godaddy canceled the domain name transfer prosess.
Thats why I need help choosing a domain reseller service because I don't wana go through all this again.
Thank You All
eSology 08-26-2004, 02:04 PM WildWestDomains is owned by GoDaddy so the choice is simple.
The longer I stay in this business the more I learn that I truly dislike GoDaddy.
taheri6 08-26-2004, 05:03 PM eNom is the best in my opinion for resellers, but not that good for retail clients.
dmaven 08-26-2004, 05:15 PM for resellers enom is probably the better one
youmakemewanna 08-26-2004, 05:22 PM Enom is definately the best by far :)

senaia 08-26-2004, 06:23 PM Thanx every one for your time.
How much I would have to pay to setup a reseller account with enom and how much would the domain name cost ME as a reseller ? I find it hard to find pricing info in their site.
Thanx Again
eSology 08-26-2004, 08:09 PM Initially it is cheaper to go through an eNom Technology Partner.
dmaven 08-26-2004, 10:21 PM You should be able to get a 8.95 account for free. I am sure there are people on these forums who can help you
taheri6 08-27-2004, 08:24 AM For their pricing info contact the reseller sales department at sales@enom.com
Rooter 08-27-2004, 09:02 AM I myself have a reseller account through an Enom ETP and have been very satisfied with it. About two months ago I started using DirectI as well, but their interface is quite buggy and I can only recommend them if you have your own software to integrate with their API.
dmaven 08-27-2004, 10:51 AM This is a recurring theme on the "slowness" of their panel. Pehaps directi should take a look at this
Saryooo 08-28-2004, 01:05 PM please also check www.dotregistra.com they also have good reseller packages and I am very happy with them
4solutions 08-29-2004, 01:40 AM For more information about an eNom reseller account, you might try: www.namezoom.net which is owned by acts837 who answered your question a little earlier. Or you might try www.DomainResell.biz which is owned by Zoli, another WHT member. I believe Zoli lives in Romania like you. ;)
senaia 08-29-2004, 01:46 AM Thank you all.
Enom: IP block due to high rate of credit card fraud most likely
So I contacted them regarding this and this is a part of there response:
.......................................................................................................
You are located in one of our 13 blocked countries due to high fraud activities. After you review the information below and you're still interested in becoming an eNom reseller, fax the attached agreement with your static IP and company information (Copy of credit card (front and back) Copy of credit card statement (first page) Copy of identification for the individual signing the reseller agreement Any business/company information (URL's, business licenses) i.e. telephone,
fax number, mailing address, etc).
.......................................................................................................
Its not that im a spammer or use stolen cc. But don't you think there asking for too much information and Doc. ?!?
If I finaly decied to get a retail/reseller account I would send them what I can send but for example I can't give an IP because I use internet clups !
4solutions 08-29-2004, 01:58 AM I think all the registrars have been hit hard lately with credit card fraud. So don't take it personally. They are trying to protect themselves.
Can you possibly open a PayPal account? I know eNom accepts PayPal as a way to refill your account.
You also might want to contact Zoli and see how he gets around this blocked country thing.
senaia 08-31-2004, 01:03 AM After sending Godaddy over 8 emails in the last 48 hours with passport photo and credit card photo. I got access to my account but they kept my website and it was still offered for sale in thier whois database.
So I sent the 9-th email asking them to return the website in my account. They just did but charged me $34 for four years registration because the last time I renewed the website, I did it through my father card for four years ($34). They refunded my father card but charged my card $34.
Basicly, I don't care if they took the $34 from my card or my father card. I just want the website because I sold it for $5500 and the man trusted me and sent the money and the website was being transfered from godaddy to his Enom account when all this happend.
Anyway, They told me that this will never happen to me again and that my credit card is now listed their system as a Trusted Card or something like that. What ever this means.
Thanx all for your support and advice
4solutions 08-31-2004, 01:24 AM Congratulations, senaia!
I'm happy that everything worked out for you! And thanks for keeping us updated... $5,500 is a chunk of change!
Invest it wisely. ;)
Bashar 08-31-2004, 05:36 AM glad to hear that :)
back to the subject, enom is your best option and directi or moniker could be another good options to use too
