Hi,
Well...I'm new to this forum. I found this place via a link in alt.www.webmaster.

I know Exa-bytes offers some less than $40/year plan with RedHat but I can't remember the specs on it though.

Wait...isn't there someplace here where you can post what you're looking for and some companies will reply?

Anyhow, I'm here hunting for info on Exa-bytes myself.

Anyone? Anyone? Buehler?

You are probably talking about the Hosting Requests Forum.
There you can post your request and hosts will usually reply via email, etc.

Right, but it sounds oversold, like if they get real popular they will either go outa business type stuff.

When I recommend a host, I recommend based on reality, not fiction.

They are cheap and awesome. However, if you want 200 MB and 6Gig you'll have to pay more than 7 bucks (14.95), but it gives you everything you asked for. I don't know of any cheap hosts that give you 6MB for 7 bucks. I usually see the prices for that amount of transfer starting at 10 bucks. Be careful though because some hosts will offer that amount or say they will give you unlimited transfer and then they put in fine print that you can only use 1 or 2 Gig. Good luck on your search.

HIGH RESOURCE USER POLICY
Resources are defined as bandwidth and/or processor utilization. SterletNET may implement the following policy to its sole discretion:

When a website is found to be monopolizing the resources available, SterletNET reserves the right to suspend that site immediately. This policy is only implemented in extreme circumstances and is intended to prevent the misuse of our servers.

Ummm... that is what I'm talking about when I say read the fine print. Basically, while this sounds like is if your site is popular and you start using all of what you pay for, we have a right to shut you down without looking sucky.

I mean, come on, how can you be monopolizing resources, if they've got you capped at whatever you are paying for?! 6Gig is only 6Gig. You've already got your limit.

If somebody gives you 10 bucks to buy yourself lunch, and tells you that while you can use it all you'd better bring them back 9 dollars and 50 cents change, wouldn't you look at them a little funny?

Be careful ^_^

Our designer put the picture in and I guess he didn't think we would run into any problems. I got him to change the photo anyway. Thanks for the warning.

Well, it is not unreasonable, considering phpnuke's poor security reputation. I have a few client using phpnuke on their sites without bothering to upgrade when it is necessary. When they got cracked, some of them blamed it to us. :( It seems somebody out there are probing web sites for old version of phpnuke, so watch out.
