Hi!

Today i restarted my RAQ4i 256 RAM and immediatly noticed a increase in sysload but i dont know where it comes from.

only thing i noticed was syslogd with 0:50 Time and 11.6% CPU load. Please check the mrtg graph and you will see the difference. as i said i am stuck where this sysload comes from ?

i deleted all the log files - messages was 37MB everything else under 10 MB - it was getting better but now sysload is back up again

any help really apprechiated

i deleted the log files - have nothing changed - no site is using this sysload up "but the sysload is still way up" than before.

i dont know why but it is way up :confused:


its stable now at 0.34, 0.26, 0.26.

today about 4 hours ago the sysload went up again ?:confused:

i only host 30 sites on that server.

maybe someone had made the same expirience?

You should not delete the log files while the apache is running.

it's better to run split_logs to process the log files.


Since the server can not write to log files, it will keep trying and do what you're experiencing.

i only deleted the packed files from apache not the access

only deleted messages

what can i do now? any idea?

The load seem ok to me.

If you want, reboot to start fresh.
