Beware of Dellz.com!

I get a email from them saying "please select one of your MySQL databases for us to delete"

I of course am like wth?
So I mail them going what's the deal with this?
They reply with "we decided we are not going to let you have 4 anymore so we need to delete one that you are using"..
So I replied a little upset.. telling them I am not going to choose a database of mine to say goodbye to.. so they can delete what ever they fell like..
(I was a wee upset)

Gatta love customer service like this.


So I after this open a poll in their forums asking other members how many MySQL database's they had..
Well Dellz replied to this thread yelling at me and saying no one has more than 3.
My reply to this was even if no one else has more than 3 MySQL databases it does not make how they screwed me right...
I mean what kind of good host emails you one day and says "what database you are using should we delete?"
I mean I was hardly even using them so it is not like I was using ANY server resources or anything..

Well shortly after my reply to their reply in the poll about how many MySQL databases people have..
I was banned from their forums.. My Account at the forums deleted...
My Accounts on their servers (all the sites they hosted for me) were deleted.

(note you: Not one time did they contact me about anything)
No letter we have deleted you off our servers because " "

The reason for this? (They had no right, was just a personal attack on me)
I did nothing wrong.. simply was upset about them mailing me asking me what database they should delete and deleting one of them.
I used no profanity or anything... no spamming. just a poll asking others how many they had.

What makes this even worse is when I joined then they were one of those "Unlimited" host.
Well of course that went all to crap and we got slammed with a 50mb limit.
This pissed many customers off, I had to deal with A ton of Aim's of them complaining..
I would sit there defending Dellz and telling people not to leave..
I would go to forums and help them when people slammed them.
(because at the time I was a new customer and well when you are new to the host they always seem so great.. once you have been there awhile things usually tend to turn ugly)
But I was sending people there to sign up..
I was admin in their forums.
(even helping them fix things)
I had designed a site to help their customers setup email account because the thing they called a "Control Panel" was the worst thing I have ever seen and thus made it very hard to create a email account...
So I keep trying my hardest to keep their customers happy via AIM
(because alot of them contact me for help about their Dellz accounts)
So I was very active in trying to help Dellz...

But then they started to suck and so many things went wrong...
and now here I am.. *Screwed* by Dellz.com

Just does not seem fair that they can just delete my accounts with no reason and keep my money...
Just goes to show what kind of people they are.

Under normal circumstances, they cannot take away a service that was part of your package. They can however decide to charge you for it, but common practice would give you at least a little bit of warning, so you could decide to keep the option, or do without it, or whatever.

Sounds like they poorly planned from the get go, and you (being a client) are getting the short end of the stick. My advise, get out now before they make even more drastic moves.

No current backups of either domain :(
Did not expect to have everything deleted for nothing...

OMG...

After many many letters, I finally emailed every email account I could think of @Dellz.com and one finally responded.

Here is their master explanation of why my accounts were deleted for no reason (just because they don't like me :( )

Dellz.com reserves the right to suspend or cancel a customer's access to any or
all services provided by Dellz.com when Dellz.com decides that the account has
been inappropriately used or otherwise

lol so basically they are saying we don't like you so we fuc**d you.
Deal with it.. We got your money and we don't even have to provide you with our services just try and do anything about it..

I tried to find a good internet law lawyer but have had no luck..
But when I told them I was looking I got a even more we screwed you and there is nothing you can do about it response

I'm sorry to hear that man. Unfortunately it seems there is little that you can do now other than try to keep other people from experiencing the same.

Another note, you may want to bring their site to the attention of dellhost.com :D I remember reading a post a while back about someone who had registered a similar domain name to do hosting under, and they were very quick to sick their lawyers on the owner for trademark violation.

What you are doing now is the best thing you can do. Just remember to keep it on a mature level, and people will listen. Visit the various hosting directories that allow reviews, and make your story known.

With as many hosts out there today for people to choose from, it does not take very many bad reviews of a company for a potential customer to go elsewhere. Your words speak much louder than theirs.

Call your CC company and say that the service you paid for was not provided and you want to do a chargeback, you will get your money back and dellz will be hit with a chargeback fine.

I used an exact copy of this in my terms and conditions. I was origanally a re-seller for fasthosts and used their terms and conditions.
I have recently applied for a Which Web Trader certificate, they have lawyers check the terms and conditions of the site. I was told to change this statement, along with others before they would consider giving the Certificate. I am hoping for the certificate soon. I have changed my terms and conditions.

With as many hosts out there today for people to choose from, it does not take very many bad reviews of a company for a potential customer to go elsewhere. Your words speak much louder than theirs.

As for lawyers.. Mine is not well into internet issues.. so have been trying to find one that is with not much luck :(

Although it would cost me more for the lawyer than I paid for their services (if you can call what they gave me services) lol.. more like downtime and headaches...

Yes, no reason. (Just they were *personaly* upset that I got upset that they e-mailed me saying "Which one of your databases should we delete?"..
I of course was not too happy about this.. As all of my database's held valuable information.

The story began one great day.. Me just sitting back relaxing and having a good time working online. :D
I had been complaining for awhile about my emails getting tagged with a site that was running illegal content on the site (I had told Dellz.com about this site and that it was running this illegal content and they said *o well* we don't mind it as long as it is not warez or mp3's. The site was running hacks and things for DSS systems and I wanted no part of my emails saying that’s were I was sending from. But yet it would seem the server was run by children.. So many problems .. Not many times were any of them fixed.

So about 2 months or so ago they told everyone that they were moving everyone to new servers and all the downtime and crappy service should** stop. They said we will be moving Admins/Moderators first. So they mailed me right away asking for my domains/passwords/etc.. I promptly replied with this information. Finally after about 1 1/2 month I got tired of waiting for them to move my accounts (my e-mail still getting tagged with this illegal sites name). I mailed them asking when my account was going to be moved because it was still getting tagged with the 'Illegal content site*'s crud. They replied with we will move it later today, but we are going to delete one of your MySQL database's.. Please select one for us to delete...
Well... I of course was like *WTF*... and e-mailed them back trying to figure out why after over 7 months they all of a sudden need to delete my database's... They said we only allow people to have 3 databases’ .. So we are just going to delete one of yours.
Well me not to happy about it told them to delete whatever.. I was not about to choose one of my database's to be deleted.

Just dropped by... and yes... DELLZ.com sucks! not even one of my database worked when I was there, my site would be down every day. The support was taking too long to be answered. So I left them.

BTW! PingPro used to be an Adminitrator/Moderator on Dellz forum. He won't host warez on his site coz he used to be an avid dellz.com fan and very close to Dellz management.

lately it has been going down too a lot i am a bit concerned.
my site http://www.postdeals.net is loosting over 200 hits while they are down and that can mean loss of lots of $$$
