View Full Version : Best Free DNS/Email Forwarding Service?
burgerings 08-24-2004, 10:19 AM Howdy,
I am looking for the BEST FREE DNS/Email Forwarding Services..
I have about 5 domians I would like to be managed. zoneedit.com and mydomain.com just don't cut it anymore...
Cheers
nameslave 08-24-2004, 10:27 AM AGAIN, many decent hosts provide domain and e-mail forwarding for ADDITIONAL domains at no extra cost. Of course, you need to have at least 1 single paid account with them, but that's just for a few bucks a month, and you could have dozens of domains activated.
burgerings 08-24-2004, 10:29 AM so do you have some names? I am just looking for DNS management and don't want to have to move my names from GoDaddy :)
Cheers
Bashar 08-25-2004, 07:08 AM godaddy offer's managed dns!
also zoneedit can do the job why you don't want to use them?
AbsolutelyFreeWeb 08-25-2004, 07:11 AM I'm not sure if it is part of the transfer deal or only for new deals, but wwd resellers might give you 100 email forwards per domain so its something to check out..
dmaven 08-25-2004, 07:12 AM I used to use zonedit all the time. Never had a problem with their service.
waxdoll 08-25-2004, 08:02 AM Is there anybody providing free registration of domains along with DNS Management ? ;) LOL
AbsolutelyFreeWeb 08-25-2004, 08:29 AM if you find such a place, ask if they don't provide free hosting and free google ads as well ;)
burgerings 08-25-2004, 08:56 AM Howdy :)
I am looking for just DNS management utilitys. I don't wish to use the DNS provided with GoDaddy. Zoneedit was unreliable as emails disappeared or I didn't recieve certain email from people...
Cheers
AbsolutelyFreeWeb 08-25-2004, 09:01 AM any special reason you don't like godaddys dns burgerings?
burgerings 08-25-2004, 10:17 AM Howdy,
Is Godaddy 100% reliable and won't lose ANY of my mail?
I don't know if I can trust it.
Last time I trusted Domains free email forwarding was when ENOM had there MAJOR shortage last year...I lost all faith in free email forwarding with hosts...
Cheers,
Burgerings
zabudkin 08-26-2004, 12:22 AM zoneedit.com
AbsolutelyFreeWeb 08-26-2004, 12:38 AM I haven't used godaddy the company itself, but thru wildwestdomains, and the mail forwarding is instant and never had a problem with it. I do have bad experience with other companies so I know what you mean, its really frustrating!
