Hi,
i want to purchase a new server im at theplanet atm but lots of my clients keep getting problems that they cant see it and some can and its started to get even worst i dont want this so i have decided to change...

There are 2 datacenters which i am thinking of going to :
Superb
Calpop

Superb seem ok aint heard much about them dont no if there good or not ... the thing that scares me about them is there support they charge $60 per hour ... theplanet are free and have phone support but superb just are abit weird...

And Calpop my friend is there he says its really good its LA's biggest datacenter and seems ok but there site is really off putting and makes me scared to purchase from there...
But they seem to have better support phone support and that

Please can you help me pick which one is better in :
- Uptime
- Support
- Gerneral

Many Regards
KingK

You can always do a search, or look on a particular host.

It seems you may be looking for a higher quality host, if that is the case I recommend you look at spending a little more money. Keep going for servers in the same price range you'll find relatively equal service. It seems you may need a little more assistance than most, so I suggest you either find a more expensive or smaller spot that can get you more personalized service.

Forget superb - go with Steadfast networks....ray and karl are the 2 nicest people ever - although ray tends to go to sleep on me :-P great support - great hardware - great network...what more can you ask for? .... free lunch or dinner could work hehe

Steadfast has Level 3 as well - and they are within equinix IBX MUCH better facility than CALPOP Or superb and why from a DC? I've gotten support form Ray adn Karl at 4-5 am in the morning.. they sleep almost as little as I do

Heh, sorry again about that. Six or so hours of sleep combined over three nights is rough. :)

I have been very happy with superb. The $60 an hour might not be great, but we have never had to use them for our multiple servers over the past 5 months. You can get support credits that are for 15 minutes for $25 and most things can be done is 15-30 minutes so not to bad. However we have our servers managed by another company so unless it is something that needs done at the DC we don't need their techs anyway. Their staff are very nice and their network and hardware have been excellent. Not one network problem, and only a small hardware problem that they switched out and fixed within 5 minutes which was amazing.

Superb is horrible - my servers were down 1 week because they didn't realize a power cord was broken / unplugged .... and multiple other things. Unfriendly staff that just want your money.

You want value and performance and people that give 2 sh*ts about their customers - go with steadfast - btw ray - respond to my last ticket :D
