View Full Version : Experiences With CDGGateway?

I was wondering if anyone has used CDGCommerce's CDGGateway, not Authorize.net, from them? We're using their Authorize.net emulator and it seems much slower, three to four times per transaction, than when we were processing via Authorize.net. Anyone else have similar experiences, find it faster directly with their XML method, same speed, etc? Thanks. :)

I can tell you first hand that the Authorize.Net emulator + CDGGateway is a little slower than if you interface to Authorize.Net directly... at least at the moment.

This is an area that we will be addressing in the near future with a new back-end system that is actually faster than Authorize.Net itself on some transactions and at least equal on the rest. :)

Chris, the problem is each transaction is taking four to ten seconds to process. This is causing timeouts and will be awful when processing upwards of 40 transactions in a row. I sent you an e-mail about this last week, but never heard back so was wondering if others were having the same experience as I am.

Ok, are you using their Auth.net Emulator or accessing their gateway directly with their XML method?

I've been using CDGgateway for a week or two now. It was running slow to the point of not running at all initially, which I am told was due to a DDOS attack. Since then I'm still not particularly thrilled with it. I haven't used it a lot, but it seems every other time I try to log in, I have problems. When it's working properly, charges through the virtual terminal are processed in 5-15 seconds, I'd say.

I don't know anythign about their Auth.net Emulator.
