Hi.
I'm looking for Windows based Reseller Host, and SiteBySize.com seems to offer pretty good deal. They reply to messages fast, and seem to be quite helpfull. Did anyone had any expirience with them.
They popup here on forums from time to time, but there are no actual reviews good or bad.

I've been with sitebysize for about a month now, and am pretty happy with them so far.

My only complaint right now is that JSP is currently not working, which is potentially a problem for me as a developer, since I just got a contract to develop a JAVA app and can't test it on my development site. They say it should be patched in a few days - I hope it is...

Aside from that, they have been very responsive, their support seems competent (the few times I've needed to contact them), and my site hasn't experienced ANY downtime since I joined. Speed is real good, too - I've been very happy with the load time of my pages.

It's a company based in Thailand with their servers in the US. Do a traceroute for details. Support is prompt and efficient, although I'm ambivalent about how effective their solutions to problems are.

Also, their Imail servers are set up so that if you send email via Coldfusion (possibly other applications as well), their server info is appended to the outgoing email headers. So you do stand a chance of being identified as a reseller.

Static IP not offered as part of package but available as optional extra.

I received an Email from sitebysize today, and have confirmed that JSP is again working on their servers.

In a month, this has been the only 'issue' I can report (my site has not been down, or slowed down once).

Do you suggest them as a high quality service? I want to start reselling windows hosting but I am not sure about quality of their services.

Have you used their SQL servers? Have you tested their Uptime?

I saw your messages about ADEHost and changed my mind about working with them. But I am not sure about quality of site-by-size yet.

Mac,

I've only been with them (sitebysize) for a month now, so anything I have to say is based only on this brief period of time.

In the month, I can say I have had NO downtime whatsoever. I use NetMechanic to monitor my website, and have not gotten ANY reported downtime in the month (I am on a Win2k plan with them). Between home and work, I'm in front of a PC at least 10-12 hours per day - during that time, my PC checks my Email accounts (on each of three domains I have hosted with them) every 3 minutes, and I have not had one failure to connect because of an unavailable server or other issue.

My site loads faster here than it has on ANY other host's servers that I've been with (around a dozen over the past 2-3 years). Many times a hosts 'main' site will load faster than their clients, but the truth is, my site loads just as fast as their homepage. Always ranks in the top 5 on www.hostpulse.com 's speed test.

Yes, I currently have only ONE small SQL Database on their SQL server (one table, around 300 records), and have not had any problems connecting to it, or reading/writing to it, nor have I experienced any other issues.

The only negative point I can make is the JSP outage. I do NOT know how long it was down - I attempted to run a small Java app this past weekend, had some trouble and Emailed them (so, I don't know when the problem started, it was sometime before the first time I tried to use JSP). They responded almost immediately, and told me they were doing a JRUN upgrade this week that would solve the problem. Today, they Emailed me to tell me JSP was back up (which I thought was a nice touch, rather than just have me find out on my own by testing it until my app worked), and in fact, it is.

Overall, I'd say yes - I'd rate them as a 'quality' service - but again, this is based on one month of service. They have given me no reason to believe otherwise. They've always been very professional and fast to respond on the rare occasion that I have contacted them.

I can also say, that I have rather 'unique' needs (I am not a reseller, but I do have multiple domains, some that I turn on and off for testing projects I'm working on as needed). They were very helpful in designing a 'custom' plan to meet my needs as far as domains, databases and services.

Hope this helps...

Regards,
