Hello,

I am currently with 2checkout.com for all my payment solutions and its been great but I find my company's image getting more and more professional. But when a customer comes to the signup pages which are located on another company's server i think it is discouraging and can put some clients off.

(Dont get me wrong i really think 2checkout service is very good but I just need more control over the signup process to give the best service posible. There are many more reasons why its not sufficient anymore but that is irrelevant for what i am asking)

I am on the lookout for a merchant account(i think that what its called.) that i can use to take payments from my own server. I do not want to have the payment pages on another server like 2checkout does. I am fully capable of doing the coding for the site, that is not a problem. My main problem is that all the good services are usa based only and I am from the UK. I did find Echo(http://www.echoinc.com) which has everything i need but does not allow companies from anywhere but the usa.

Does anyone know a similar service that does not require a usa address or bank account. Also they must have a minimal setup fee and low monthly charges.

Just a question. Since 2checkout has the cart that you can download and link directly from your site, I'd assume you can process payments directly from your site as well? Maybe I'm incorrect on this one...

I have heard from a good bit of peopel that Harbor Net (http://www.harbor-net.com/) is very good. I am going to sign up with them myself. I am not sure about what countries they accept!

To me their site seems old.

That is correct, you can download a shopping cart and install it on your own server but it still sends the purchaser to 2checkout's site when they go to buy anything. I need to handle the buying part on my site with a api module which 2checkout does not have

worldpay it seems have a ridiculously high 'membership' fee .. I as a small reseller couldn't afford that.

Anyone big enough to be able to afford it, might as well go for a real merchant account .. imo.

Ive been working with merchant api's lately, hwere's a few that I found with good support and varrying pricing:

1) authorize.net
2) echo-inc.com
3) iBill
4) paygateway.com
such as - paradata
such as - moneris.com
5) authorize.net style systems such as ecx.com
6) verisign (works with api but not one i really like)

I say bite the bullet and get your own merchant account. It has never been easier to get one, and your company image is at stake, not to mention you get more control over your billing and it's cheaper per transaction.

we use http://www.emscorporate.com/ and have been very happy with them.

I really like the look of ParaData!!

I have emailed them to see if they support international customers
