setting up virtual sites MX problem?


I add virtual site by entering these details:
- IP address: ....... the right one
- Host Name: www
- Domain Name: xxxxx.com (without www)
- Web Server Aliases: xxxxx.com (without www)
- Email Server Aliases: xxxxx.com (without www)

etc.

I saved it.

I make an User, and made email forwarding my personal email address.

I saved it and than I went to Control Panel.
I added for the SOA my ns1. ... and my ns2 ....

I also added for my MX records:
- Domain Name: x***********
- Mail Server Name: mail.xxxxx.com
- Delivery Precedence: High

Saved everything what can be saved, sent an email to myuser@x*********** and got a mail:
"Host unknown (Name server: mail.***********: host not found)"

I changed MX from mail.xxxxx.com to xxxxx.com (whithout mail.) and saved everyrthing else, and I got the same message again.

Everything else is functioning perfectly ok. There is just this email problem.

Can somebody tell me what I was not correct in my configuration or what did I forgot?

did you set up mail.xxxxx.com as an 'A' record?

Also, don't use cnames (aliases) in dns on a raq.. sendmail will choke on it :)
