Hey Guys,

I've got a new project in the works, and I'm going to need a partner who is extremely familiar with PHP scripting/databases and can write them from scratch.

The project:
The website will be a college based website, with a totally new and unique approach. Nothing as far as I know has ever been done to this scale and the few that I have talked to about this project think it has great potential for success. Part of the site will be a slight combination of collegehumor.com and yahoo. There will also be a party supplies store selling keg taps and all the works. That description doesn't do the site concept justice, but I do not feel comfortable expressing the idea to the public before the site is created. :) To those that are interested and would like more information on the project, I am going to make you sign an NDA written by my lawyer. Hopefully you can understand that this is not going to be your average site.

The Partner:
The partner's duty will be to create the site script from scratch. This will be a fairy large script, and in actuality, it will probably be multiple scripts, as there are more than one large features on the site. This person must be fluent in PHP and know how to utilize MySQL Databases. Note: This is not going to be a job for somebody just learning PHP. I need somebody with plenty experience. After this is completed and I have finished the design, the partner's responsibilities will be to help maintain the site, add content frequently and to assist in creating the community. I would prefer the partner be somewhere around their college years, or somebody that still has a little 'party' inside of them and can share similar thoughts an ideas to aid in the development in the site. I also prefer this person lives in the U.S. - but if you don't match either, don't be afraid to send me an email anyways, I'm always open to anything.

About Me:
I've been a webmaster/developer for over 5 years. I have run several large websites in the past, and have created and designed multiple websites for local clients. My skills range from Photoshop, to HTML, CSS, web administration and more. My latest, unfinished site is: www.orangepiranha.com - that should give you the caliber of my design abilities.

Ownership:
I will be in control of 55% of the website. By this, I mean I make all the major decisions as far as hosting, advertising etc. But this does not mean that the partner will not be able to make decisions and run the site. I simply just don't want somebody running off with my hard work!

Payment:
Unfortunately, there will be no upfront payment. All revenue from this site will be generated from our online store, but more importantly, advertising. Not only will the site offer online ads, but local ads on campuses. I firmly believe that once the site is established, it has a huge potential to be a money maker.

If you think your interested in this project, email me at ty@orangepiranha.com with the following:
Name
Age
Location
Recent & Previous Works
Known Languages/Skills
If in college, what University
Anything else you want to tell me about

I strongly prefer that you email me and do not reply in this thread or PM's. I'll be sure to get back to you ASAP if you send me an email, and I will send the NDA after a brief interview / conference with you.

Thanks!
-Ty Bartholomew

Hmm actually it does mean that your partner cannot make decisions without your prior approval or authorization. I wouldn't be interested anyway, just my two cents.
