Need to get one soon for my web site .. I was thinking Thawte, but I can't find much up to date info about them ..
What are the prices for a good quality 128bit SSL cert nowadays? Would you recommend Thawte .. or Equifax?
Know any resellers for either of those .. and their approx. prices? Would appreciate any pointers ..

also ..
anyone know what the deal is with QuickSSL certs? OLM (which I resell through) offers these ..relatively good price for global certs (so my customers can use it)
But I don't think from the looks of it, that QuickSSL is THE best supported cert today .. (they claim 90%) ...

There are several other threads about this topic... http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=30405 has some recent info.
$79 for a cert from http://www.ssl4less.com/ is IMHO the best deal right now.

I recently bought a SSL cert from Geotrust. They bought out Equifax's SSL service.
Geotrust has a thing they call QuickSSL. I (no lie) had the cert installed and running from csr generation to a working cert, in 8 minutes.
Their price is $99 which isnt' too bad. Still cheaper than verisign:eek: .
Go here (http://www.geotrust.com/quickssl/) to read more.
It rules.

I do see that now, that I followed your link.
thx.
Chris.
I just became a hosting partner with thawte and have found the service to be excellent. They charge $125 for a certificate (more for a upser cert) with about 98%+ browser acceptance.
Versign is the only comapny i'd ever use over thwate and they charge too much to make the little extras worth the differance.
Prehaps in time Ill look at other companies but for now thawte and verisign are lal i trust to be global enough and well enough renound to do what I need done.

I'm a Web of Trust notary through Thawte and I found tons of information about Certificates(including reseller programs) on their website www.thawte.com
