I'm wanting to start reselling and currently VO and Splash are in the lead. But I can't decide which route I want to go. VO with premade plans, or Splash with ability to make you're own plans.

What is the URL for Splash? Have to see their offers before I can give you an advice!

Splash can be found at www.splashhost.com

There are other good reseller packages in the WHT offers forum if you look hard enough

I think they are both very good hosts.

VO is due to migrate their datacenter again(not exactly negative, since they have a lot of experience)

In general, when all the choices are good, it is important to look into yourself and ask what you need. This is the way to find the final host.

I personally like the flexibility to make plans. However, your need might be different, you might like a set of plans that are market-proven.

I think splash is who I'll go with. VO is going to be migrating to a new datacenter so I don't know if they'll be able to handle it and alan ( splashhost ) is always on icq and very friendly.

Yes, I agree SplashHost is very good ....been with them 4 months now and can't find any fault to complain. Alan is a wonderful person, he makes sure the server(s) are running at top performance.

Well, both are great companies, and you wil only hear good things about them.

It's up to you. What is your plan structure? What kind of plans will you be offering. Space vs. bandwidth.

If you wish to offer more bandwidth, I would suggest VO, since their plans come with a decent bandwidth.

SplashHost will offer you the customization of providing any amount of web space your client needs. Bandwidth would be the only concern there.

Good luck!

I've only ever heard the name Alan associated with Splash Host.

Is there anyone else there?

Sounds a bit risky if he is ill/on vacation/gets bored with web hosting.

Hi Brookie,

Just to clarify yes im the only one associated with Splash Host. I wont be having any vactions until ive employed some staff. I wont just being giving up hosting when i get bored either this is how i make my living so i need to keep on working. I dont believe ive ever been that ill that i couldnt operate my compuer and even if i was hospitliased or something i know people who could make sure the servers kept on running and maybe do some of the tech suppport for me.

If i get ran over by a bus and killed... well sorry.. i dont care what happens to your web-site after that. My family would maybe sell Splash host to the highest bidder, should at least pay for my funeral expenses.

Tell your family to inform me (seriously) in case you have an accident (which we hope you don't!) and i'll make sure your clients websites stay up and running. :)

I picked splash because alan is friendly and knowledgeable. And he gives ICQ support.

It tells me MCHost have a much more mature approach to customer service and risk management.

Alan's response to a perfectly reasonable question was astonishing :eek2:

And Alan if you wish to take some time off or are ill, don't worry I'll cover for you.
