I'm getting ready to order a dedicated server from layeredtech.com, and I see that they charge $25/month to have cpanel installed on the server.
But I also see that you can get it here http://www.softwareworks.com/cpanel.htm for $19.95 per month.
Is it just layeredtech.com capitalizing on convenience, or is there a reason it's an extra $5/month?
http://www.softwareworks.com/cpanel.htm
looks distinctly like
angelnetworkz.com
if so, Search angelnetworkz.com on the board, and you will understand WHY the price is cheaper ^^'
my mistake, www.angelnetworkz.net, but they updated their website... it was exactly the same as the other one.. softwareworks.com... I can confirm that they are mostlikely the same company, as now managed.com formally linked to www.angelnetworkz.net, but now links to softwareworks.com

but i'm just ordering the cpanel from them, not a dedicated server...
well go for the cheaper one then... i guess the additional 5$ is their additional profit margin.

softwareworks.com is for managed.com servers only or at least it was.

It all depends on how many they sell as to what the price will be. If you sell more, then the company gets to sell license cheaper.

tehtech, it doesn't say anywhere on http://www.softwareworks.com/cpanel.htm that it's only for managed.com, but that is indeed where i got the link for this place.

Software works and AngelNetworkz are two different companies because I have a server thru Angel and they had an account problem and forgot to pay some bills with softwareworks and softwareworks deactivated a bunch of cPanel licenses. Other then that the price looks awesome about the softwareworks!
