I just received a payment through paypal in my email. My question is how would i cash that payment? I have no clue what to do in order to claim my money.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but this is my first time using paypal.

It gets dumped into your paypal account where you can withdraw it into a checking or savings account. Or use it to buy something else with paypal.

make sure you do give the correct account info. You can consult with your bank as well.
