Well not really a dummy....Just don't have alot of time to search for info myself.

I'm starting up a couple of websites soon and I'm looking for some good guides or reference links. I would kinda like to build the site from the ground up myself.

I bought a template for my hostermiester.com reseller account. I'm gonna change that one over also after I get the others up and running.

I know you guys have been doing this for along time so I figure you got the links.

Thanks,
Kenmitch

Web Pages that Suck (http://www.webpagesthatsuck) - Learn good design by looking at bad design
A List Apart (http://www.alistapart.com) - lots of very USABLE bleeding edge
Heal Your Church Web Site (http://www.healyourchurchwebsite.com) - geared at churches, but I've found his advice works even if you ain't religious
WEB STYLE GUIDE, 2nd edition (http://www.webstyleguide.com/index.html?/contents.html) - the defacto standard for standards
Dive Into Accessibility (http://diveintoaccessibility.org/) - make your site readable by everyone on any browser anywhere
UseIt.com (http://www.useit.com) - Jakob Nielsen gives good usability advice that is often good marketing advice

Your mileage may vary.
