hi, i'm new in this web hosting and reseller hosting stuff. i've seen people doing business in this field. i'm wondering what is it that i need to know in order to get myself familiar with all these stuff.
what are the steps needed before starting business like this?

Being a reseller and also involve in web development, how does the concept of maintaining a website online for your customers work? any explanation..? In short, how do I maintain a customer's website if the customer has asked me to develop a website and upload it to internet?

your advice is very much appreciated..thank you. :)

The best thing to do would be to charge one lump sum for the development of the web site.

Get your self a good reseller account and sell them hosting through your account. Then work out a monthly fee for updates to the web site. I would recommend offering them tiers which include hours of work for a set fee!!

Once that has been accomplished you already have your first web hosting customer and plenty of room to add more clients~

Thanks
