Ok, anyone know where I can buy some quality digital cameras? not too expensive though :)
lol, what a topic's subject
I suggest you check out buy.com or ecost.com. Buy.com is the best in both customer service and pricing. If you have money, it's very good to go with Nikon CoolPix 990 (I believe somewhere 3.4 megapixel). I bought the Nikon CoolPix 950 at ecost last year, wonderful camera that takes beautiful images.
DynastyHost 11-10-2000, 06:16 AM Those places are expensive. I'm thinking of Ebay :)
Google 11-10-2000, 06:20 PM try http://www.ubid.com
Bogdan 11-10-2000, 07:36 PM Felix is right...
I used uBid in the past and I got Iomega zip (100MB) for $49.95 :)
Cheapest I've seen.
Bogdan, how long have you had it?
I could get brand new Iomega zip for $50 (OEM) with no tax 4 months ago.
Google 11-10-2000, 07:57 PM uBid sells new products too...they used products that people bid on.
etLux 11-10-2000, 08:22 PM Be sure to see my brother-in-law, Murry, down on Canal Street. He's the guy in the trenchcoat, near the hotdog stand.
Chicken 11-10-2000, 09:30 PM Speaking of which...
I let my buddy borrow my digi-cam, and of course it was stolen at the club... so I'm in the market for a new one. I'm cheap though, and don't want to spend $500. If you've bought one for under $500 that you love so much you must post and tell Chicken about it, then by all means, tell tell.
Bogdan 11-10-2000, 10:13 PM Nam,
I got it about a month ago, and it was new with no tax.
Ah... FedEx 2nd Day Air cost me around $7.
etLux 11-11-2000, 03:37 AM Chicken, I think Murry has your camera.
Chicken 11-11-2000, 04:20 AM Damn that Murray!
etLux 11-11-2000, 04:28 AM Don't get confused, here, Chicken.
"Murray" was on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show".
"Murry" is in front of the third hotdog stand on Canal Street in NYC.

Chicken,
What are you looking for? If it's just point and click, you should look at a HP Photosmart. (the c30 model) I got one about 2 years ago for $300(US), and it's still running fine. It's just over a megapixel, and isn't big on manual settings, but the quality is pretty good. At it's high setting I'm able to print a full A4 sized photo (using a HP DeskJet 840) with perfect quality (ie, no pixelation). Color is good, focus is fine.
My fiance has one of those Agfa megapixel doo-hickies and she hates it. Wants me to get that super-cool Sony digi so she can have my HP :)
