OLM makes my head hurt.

First, their billing department. I have sent them three questions. I have received zero responses. I have waited five months. They seem to be quick with the actually money collection, though. Even simple billing questions don't ever receive a response.

Actually, let me correct myself. I did, in fact, receive a response from them! Yes indeed. But it took the following procedure:
Send Support Ticket
No reponse, so sent to QA
No response, resent to QA
Receive a "please wait longer!" message
Wait longer, no response, send to QA
Receive apology and answer to VERY simple question.
So folks! What do you think this weeks-to-answer question was? Probably a real billing brainbuster eh?

I asked when my billing date was. And it took them three weeks to tell me.

I decide to continue this freakshow. After all, I handle billing for my customers. The rest of OLM is fine, everything that they do with my non-existant customers. I thought that until today.

I asked them about ASP support. They said yes! definately! So today I check their normal plans page, and it had a bunch o' features, including Chilisoft ASP. So I emailed and asked if those came with resold plans. The answer is: no. Definately not, because resold accounts are on the OLD servers. "Sign up with me and you can be on an OLD server!!!!!" that shall be my new slogan... j/k... So I ask: Someone else said chilisoft is a yes! Now you say no! Who is right! OLM emailed back saying why yes, it IS available on /most/ servers. Most. So now I have sent them a message: What do you mean most?!?! Does my plan page now have to go:
...
Perl: Yes
MySQL: Yes
Chilisoft ASP: Maybe
...

Wow!, potential customers will say. What an impressive host! They are not sure exactly what features I will receive. I will certainly go with them!

OLM. It's crazy. Their actual hosting however is great. So I will not leave them - yet. Because this only affects me. The second they pull some stunt that doesn't just affect me, I'm gone.

(And they have an annoying habit of telling you to respond to a support ticket, and then they close it. Good thing there is a reopen ticket option.)

APPENDIX A
The worst part about the ASP thing? I was right about the maybe ASP thing. It's only on SOME servers. What are they thinking.

not good :(

I am planning to start reselling from them soon .. (plus VO) .. I decided to choose OLM for the smaller (50mb / 3gb) accounts for the mainstream folks, and since they provide support for those that would be great ...

I have mixed feelings about olm support myself. OFTEN they reply fairly quick to any questions I sent to sales@olm.net but a few times they NEVER REPLIED.

I have a feeling that they either 1. lose a lot of email due to some bad server 2. just ignore/delete email that they don't like (for whatever reason) 3. have only a couple of real support staff doing all this and hence why it's such a mess ..

OLM make millions each month .. I don't see why they can't simply get their act together and start behaving like a mature company ..

I certainly hope they won't screw up my (or your) hosting company ..
