Sorry, I have to vent. They seem to be one of the few colos that have both Cogent and Yipes in once place.

First they were a B^tch to contact since all their numbers on their website are dead. I understand that BJK bought them and are starting to sort things out.

Second I payed (Wired The Cash) a 1 month deposit. I was ok with that. Few days after I wired the money I was contact and said I have to fill out a credit check form and it was easy. I said ok and I did it. Next day I get a phone call and say that I am a new company and the way it sounded "We don't trust you" I had to pay for 6 months worth of service in advance. $5200. I had no choice since I already wired over $1000 for first month deposit. Now I am set back 5K

Third, I have a switch and I need someone to mount it. I ask them how much it was going to cost to have it mounted. They said "$150"per hour and that's the minimum. "WOAH!!!" was my reply and I know all they had to do was put in a few screws to mount it. I found someone (Dan from Rackable) that will willing to do it for free but BJK did it anyways. I didn't have to sign any forms cause they were testing services out with customers.

Now that my switch is mounted and Dan was going to mount it said they won't connect the switch to the servers since that would be going beyond his call of duty.

Now all I need is someone to plug 2 rj45 wires from port 1 and 2 of the switch to the back of the servers. And connect it to a powr bar and BJK wants $150 for it.

OMG!!! I am going nuts. I am just asking for a small favor and I have to pay though the nose!!!!

Now I am going to have a crummy weekend. I am starting to regret this project I starting.

Welcome to the colo nightmare. Remote hands will cost you $150.00 pretty much anywhere you go. I usually do all the setup myself and label everything in the event you need remote hands later. I usually don't even both to ask for assistance unless I need a reboot. Then you need to cross your fingers and make sure they don't reboot the wrong server.

What sucks is the money up front for the space. That's not cool at all.

I feel your pain brother...

yep, that's why sometimes the cheaper deals are not allways the best (not that colo.com is cheap), you allways have to take in consideration for the Services Charges when colo :)

For $150 you could buy a round trip plane ticket and do it yourself lol
