Just out of curiosity, as a reseller what would you charge a company with 30 employees for web hosting? Say the bandwidth, etc. requirements of their site cost me about $6 a month. What is a fair price to ask??
Also what if they had their own mail server so after changing the dns records, e-mail was never your responsibility? How would that effect the price?
These type of questions keep me up at night, thanks for any response. :)

i guess you should try to make out how much they are willing to pay. You can do this by talking to there purchase manager like you may tell them if they tell you there budget you will be able to suggest them more better deal, then the price you see suits them hit the hammer and deal is yours. ;)
This is what ORACLE, IBM, SUN and MS guys use to do. No wonder from where they bring so much money. Just hit the hammer at right time at right place.
I will not wonder if they agree to pay you $100/month for 30 mail boxes etc. no matter it cost you $1 or $10.
It really depends on your personal salesmenship skills and there level of knowledge about hosting things. :)

Personally i wouldnt charge them any more than i would charge any one else. There is no reason they should have to pay more just because they are a big comany.

thank for the responses, I guess that is the issue - should I charge them more if they are bigger? it would seem unfair at first glance but i would also be taking on more responsibilty by hosting a more "important" site with more mailboxes to screw up, etc.

You shouldn't change your pricing based on who is purchasing the account. If you are planning on offering them some kind of improved service level (a dedicated support contact, 24/7 monitoring of their site, etc) then you could consider it, but you should check with them first to make sure that's what they want. They may simply be looking for plain web hosting with no value-added services.
Hope that helps.

How much space? How much data transfer? What OS? Don't charge them just because them have a small staff of 30! Chanrge them the same - they will send you more clients if you are nice..
