we all know that f2s.com stops their free (experimental) hosting plans at the end of feb. 2002

Who knows a cheap, but payed host?

I need:
- CGI access (perl), allows personal scripts
- SSI (shtml pages)
- download space / allow downloads
- 15 mb, maybe 25
- Using a domain name
- Something reliable, considering I pay for it. (but don't pay too much)

There is one other thing. Since I'm dutch, I never needed a creditcard in my country (banks have nice systems here). I don't have one! Are there any special things I should care of, because of this, or can I just get one...

As for not having a cc, some processors can accept checks online, but Im not sure if that is limited to Americans or not. Also figure out how much bandwidth you will need and you should get a few responces

More important are how much transfer do you need and how much do you want to pay.

Regarding the payment, it's better to get a CC, or just check with the hosts.

It will be difficult to get a host in the US without having a CC. Checks won't work, because that would be too expensive for you.

Try www.vuurwerk.nl They have reasonable prices for a Dutch host

About that bandwith... I don't have any idea. Currently my downloads are all zipped. Most files are small samples about perl / vb. (15 - 30 kb). I also have a few larger downloads (300kb - 1MB) You can check the stats at my website "home" document. If most of your traffic is outside the Netherlands, I would go with an American host. Most visitors will be from that area and it increase access speeds for them.

PayPal might be another option.

Unfortunatly not. If you don't live in the US you need a creditcard to activate a Paypal account.
