The documentation on this program is so lousy. I can't even get a definition for any of the stuff I'm trying to configure.

Thats why I didnt go with it. Many people said it was a swine to get setup. It has good features though.

Heh, their documentation is not so hot, but their software does what it does pretty well, if you want a billing package for webhosting, there is nothing out there that competes feature wise, and their support is ok.

If its scary to setup for you, then consider getting somone else to do it for you. Its worth the investment.

Cheers, Mark.

usually it is not that hard to setup, just follow the documentation then should be alright :)

When I first got ModernBill, I thought it was the biggest pain in the @$$. But after spending time with it and actually reading through and testing everything I found it was a great piece of software.

Well worth the money and time setting it up!

Modernbill has a high learning curve (IMHO), although I found the user manual very useful. Printed out all 400 pages and spent a few hours each night over the course of a week and learned a great deal. It might not sound like the fastest idea, but if you really want to learn the program, its a great place to start.

That said...we ended up hiring an MB expert to do the install/config/set-ups as we had customizations that required someone with experience.

If you need a referal for install/config just drop a pm, and I will introduce you to the company who did ours..It was definately worth the money having them take care of it.

I've done many installations and after a while the features and tiny nuances become second nature. It certainly does pay to read the manual although it is not the most up to date reference.

The forums are active and you can receive a great deal of help there as well.

So far I would say although it has a few problems here and there with Plesk, it is the best piece of software I have purchased yet.

Cybex Host is the best MB installer. They are doing our install perfectly. Highly reccomend!!
