Problem:
I have a domain that cannot recieve email on its mail email acount. That is the account cpanel sets up, usernam@domain.com. Which in this case is sklndr@sklndr.com. That address cannot recieve email, it returns to sender with the the following error:

Technical details of failure:
PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 10): 550 to verify they are valid."

but other addresses pertaining to that acount such as admin@sklndr.com work just fine.

DnsReports.com reports that is cannot connect to the mail server:
http://dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=sklndr.com
But why does admin@sklndr.com work just fine?

Another domain on the same server has no problem, all the email accounts work fine:
http://dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport.ch?domain=porteightyhosting.com

Okay I'm going to assume sklndr is your cPanel username and you are attempting to check it with sklndr@sklndr.com. Well sklndr@sklndr.com isn't a valid address on the system unless you create it. The actual address for sklndr is sklndr@system.hostname.tld not sklndr@sklndr.com.

There does not seem to be any problem with the DNS or MX records of the domain. They are resolving fine. Try deleting the account and creating it once again.

1. Login to Cpanel for that account
2. Go to Email icon
3. Click on Default Address
4. Change sklndr.com to default to :fail: or :blackhole: instead of to sklndr.

See if this helps.
