I am interested in getting a shared hosting account but
I would like to get the forum members' opinions first.

I recommend you search using the term "Champion Host" for some interesting reading.

Don't take this offensive, but this type of poll/posting is done once a week (of course with variations on the hosts). And once a week someone has to post an answer:
This depends on what you are looking for: price, performance, stability, certain features,.... There is no "optimal" host.

...adding to that... it is hard to place OLM and Hostrocket in the same catagory. Completely different hosts, different plans, different markets, etc.
