I was wondering what dedicated server hosting company sells Dual Xeon 2.8Ghz with HT Windows 2003 Standard OS 2 GB DDRam 1200+ GB Transfer 120 GB HD with 10 IP Addresses for less than $300 somewhere in California. I currently own a box from Theplanet.com and we're looking to expand our gaming services. Managed.com is one of the worse places to go to so please do not suggest that.

i'd suggest calpop. They are a good d/c IMO...they also have custom solutions if you call them. and they actually answer their phone, 24 hours at that.

Calpop have some latency problem in the past. They're still having some issue with Wiltel transit, but it's getting better.

Those servers don't come with the specs that I wanted.. Could you please post a company that can offer the specs with the price range? I clicked on the findahost links and those are too expensive and definitely not worth it

It's a bit hard for the price range you're looking at, over on the west, prices are a bit higher then other locations. If you lift your price range a bit, then you may get something

how about range of 250-285? possibly 300 but I don't want to go that high for xeons. Only for Dual AMd Opteron 246's

best of luck to you, as previously stated your price point is a bit too low for the level of hardware you are looking for on the west coast.

You can consider purchasing/leasing the server and have it colocated. It maybe more cost effective for you.

You may want to enquire with rack4less.com - they are in Fremont - or go directly with HE.

HE isn't the greatest with gaming.....look up post and you'll seee they have latency issues some times.

Try www.servercentral.net they have a pop in San Jose...

EmpiricalGaming have you tried to contact any of these companies directly? Maybe they offer what you want or willing to work with you with what your looking for.
