My fiance had the SP2 upgrade running and she couldn't run ANY of her programs not even microsoft products, when it came down to it I had to re-installed windows xp professional. Although it was nice getting all that Toshiba image crap off her drive she should of listed to me.

Hopefully they will come out with an updated version in a few weeks...luckily I still run win 2k pro when I boot into windows.

doesnt exactly fit into Conflicts/Concerns/Anxieties but it seems like TCP "raw sockets" have been disabled in SP2.

Good for the Internet? perhaps.
Bad business practice? probably.

I have installed SP 2 RC2 and been using it for a couple of months and had installed SP 2 final and had no issues with any of my software and such. But I did have to deactivate their firewall. I use Outpost Pro and isn't about to downgrade :)

Got SP2 on one system here (WinXP Pro) and all is working fine... not noticed anything wrong or not working whatsoever. First impression is that I'm liking the new wireless networking interface as it's much easier to get around.

Ya. I like that too. It's one of the improvements that helped since I run purely wireless in office/home etc.
