I just checked a website I have in Mozilla... and the little lock icon is saying my website is unsecure.

"Connection not encrypted"

"This website does not support encryption for the page you are viewing"

How can I secure my pages?

I'd really appreciate any help

Do you have an SSL certificate. It is this that controls the lock icon in web browsers.

I think I have SSL on my webspace...

It's www.ipowerweb.com

How do I use it within my website?

If you have an SSL cert installed on your domain then you just add an s to http so it becomes https://yorsite.org

If you have a decdicated on as simon says, add the s to it.

If you are using the shared on you will have to use this url:

https://host#.ipowerweb.com/~username

where # is your hostname (you can figure it out from the control panel, usually a number).

Where username is your login username to vdeck panel

the ipoweweb site says

i have to pay for it if i want it on the domain, pah!

If you rather use your domain name instead of the hostname to secure your site, you must purchase an SSL certificate from iPower. Please see "Presales - How do I buy a dedicated SSL?" for information on how to purchase one.

Is there no other way?

I want someone to access my site through the domain... if i have to buy SSL like that its a bummer :(

Yup....

but it does not really matter about the top header??

just redirect the user to the secure when they access your side..

if you are seeing that you are making enough money, buy one.
