Hi,

When i start my exim on cpanel box, server load goes high after some minutes.

Some times i found it goes to


# uptime
06:45:19 up 9:06, 2 users, load average: 352.53, 335.25, 266.78


i have a sample ps -aux at

http://netforhost.com/server/ps_10_12pm.txt

This is happening for the last 24 hours.

When ever i stop exim, load goes down.

How do i check what is happening ?

What's in the mailqueue? (or rather how much mail) did you try to clear it?

i suspended a site (changed MX record to misspelled domain) that have lot of emails in the que.

Most of the mails seems to bounced email or autoresponder.

Now the server load is normal.

Cpanel "Manage Mail Queue" is mails going out of the my server or both outgoing and incoming ?
