Hi guys
I have a dedicated server but I just want to move a site of mine to a lower cost option...maybe within 20$ monthly or so.
What I need most is almost 100% uptime because my site is gonna be the image of my company and I would sell web hosting and software solutions thorugh it.
Which company would you suggest for that ?
I am thinking of going with verio at present.
WHat ya say ?

Did you say? Sell webhosting and hosting from another hosting company?
I mean I can see why you are doing this, but I think this is rather risky.
When I had ApolloHosting as a hoster for my site and I did sell hosting services because I wanted a 3rd party host to host my company site so I can inform my customers if my servers where down and a place they can go. I think this is why you are doing this too?
Also to the customer if they find this out they can say really quick and distrust you because you do not believe on your own "Guaranteed Uptime" that you depend on someone else, and that they will think you might be a reseller.
But with ApolloHosting, they figured I was a competitor of them, they shut me down, and for 72 hours (DNS changes) my site was forwarding them to theirs. I was not happy

I agree with HostInspect.
If your customers find that you are not with them, how they are going to trust you and your service?

If YOU don't even think your own server is reliable, what makes you think they will?

Personally, Apollohosting.com, I liked their service I haven' noticed no downtime, they are Alabanza resellers though.
CWIHosting.Com - I tried them because they mention 100% uptime, back when I signed up, but services sucked.
Hostyard.com - 80% uptime, enough said, good service
Burlee.com - Great host, no complains, only but they should allow domains to be accessed even without the www without paying 20 extra bucks.
MCHost.Com - I just experienced a downtime. Good hosts, not too shabby.
I have tried some other hosts, that now I can't remember....

If you can afford it, verio is a very good host.
Beware that most of the money you pay is going toward the service quality and reputation. You don't get great diskspace/transfer.
