has anyone seen this error before? its after upgrading to fp5.0

Jan 2 13:29:23 opal Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions: http://url.com - Error #2005d Message: The server extensions were unable to access the file "service.lck". Please check the file permissions. (userid 99)
Jan 2 13:29:23 opal Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions: (OS Error #13 Message: Permission denied) (userid 99)


on top of that noone can publish ect, (deleting service.lck does not fix this)

does anyone know how to fix?

Uninstall FrontPage, take it out into a field and treat it like they treated the fax machine in Office Space ;).

Okay, seriously, it sounds like a service lock, delete any .lck files you find (which is sounds like you have done), then reapply FrontPage extensions to the appropriate sites.

ill give that a go, it appears it could be a suexec problem though which is yucky :O)

Oh yuck...yea, if you have a suexec problem just tell you clients to bag FP :).
