I recently came across a script that would allow my customers to be setup instantly upon completion of the signup form. Does anyone have a system similar to this? I'm a little concerned about instant setup on accounts incase they don't pay. It also makes it a little more personal if i have interaction with the customer and at least enter their account into WHM to get it setup. If anyone does use an automated signup system, do you have alot of false signups?

I'm not sure if you're talking about "XPanel" but it works the same as you mentioned...Not sure if its exactly what you want.
Yes, more spammers & fraud!

I think that instant setup situations are ideal for large companies with many daily signups...
the larger companies can afford to deal with the spam/fraud issues... it is worth it in the end to them when 2% per day are problematic... but what is 2% to them might be 65% to you...
if you are just starting out I would not recommend this method... 24hour turn policy should work out fine for now

For normal hosting I dun recommend that, there are simply too many fraudsters and spammers around. Larger companies can afford more security systems to deal with these issues. Other wise I would recommend it. Too many fraudsters out there.....

Do it, but smartly. Don't advertise it and also use an automated fraud checking service to only auto-process orders that look valid.

Admin Verification for Signups must be a good idea!

A 24 hour activation policy should be good as mentioned. Sometimes even that is not enough, I've received fraud notices a week after funds were transfered.

I would recommend using a script similiar to that. One that allows administration approval. That way you get the last word... and not some script. Make sure you match take the cc# and traceroute the IP. Make sure its coming from the same area. If not, you can always make a phone call.
